Every NYC public charter school has a story…

One charter in East Harlem provides real-world opportunities for autistic children. At a transfer charter high school in Central Brooklyn, teenagers are given a second chance to get back on track. In the Bronx, one of the city's oldest community-based organizations started a charter school to serve the most at-risk children.
