MANHATTAN — Peter Rabbit move over — the Easter Bunny is on his way.

Kids in the city ready to don their Sunday best and hunt chocolate eggs need look no further.

From a big Easter Fest at Trinity Church to the Upper East Side Easter Parade, DNAinfo has created a Manhattan-wide guide for kids ready to find the best treats, make the most extravagant bonnets and see the biggest parades this Easter weekend.

 

EASTER FUN FEST AT TRINITY CHURCH
Broadway at Wall Street
Sun., April 8, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Cost: Free

The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at Trinity Wall Street this Sunday during the annual "Easter Fun Fest" in the church's courtyard. The South Churchyard will be full of plastic eggs for children 6 years and under, and the North Churchyard will be transformed into a super scavenger hunt for the older kids. Music will be provided by Bari Koral Family Rock Band, who just released the album, "Anna and The Cupcakes."

EASTER PARADE AND EASTER BONNET FESTIVAL
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Fifth Avenue, between East 50th and East 51st streets
Sunday, April 8, 10 a.m - 4 p.m.

The craftiest bonnet-makers can't miss this annual showcase, which has congregated in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral since the late 1800s. Men, women children and even their pets come out in their most festive spring garb. Past costumes have included bird-cage head dresses, civil war gear and silk gowns. There's bound to be something for every New York kid, as parade participants choose outfits that range from elegant to eccentric.

EASTER WEEKEND GREENWICH VILLAGE HISTORY AND DESSERT TOUR
1120 6th Avenue, between Church Street and Broadway
Saturday, April 3, 2:00 p.m.
Cost: $22

Kids and their parents can indulge a sweet tooth with this tour, scheduled just in time for the end of Lenten fast. Sites include St. Luke in the Fields Church, the Washington Square Arch and Minetta Lane Theater. The tour will make dessert stops for local treats such as a delectable Lilac-infused chocolate, chocolate-covered strawberries and Italian saviodi.

THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF MANHATTAN EASTER EVENTS
212 West 83rd Street, between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway
Sunday, April 8, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Cost: Included in admission ($11)

Celebrate Easter weekend with an arts and crafts eggs-travaganza. The day kicks off with a scavenger hunt, which will end in sweet victory with special prizes for egg-finders. Afterward, preschool kids can make colorful "Pretty Pattern Easter Egg Collage," while older ones can decorate real eggs with Ukranian-inspired patterns and glitter.

ST. LUKE'S EASTER EGG HUNT

Cost: Free

The Church of St. Luke in the Fields
 will host a festive Easter egg hunt on their Greenwich Village church grounds. The hunt is open to the public, and will commence as soon as services let out.

PETTING ZOO AT THE GANSEVOORT PARK AVENUE HOTEL
420 Park Avenue South at 29th Street
Sunday, April 8, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Cost: Free

Live bunnies, chicks and turtles will delight the little ones at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel. The impromptu petting zoo will be held on the hotel lobby's outdoor patio. Reservations are suggested. Enjoy a scrumptious Easter brunch at the hotel's Italian restaurant Asellina beforehand.

NEIGHBORHOOD EASTER EGG HUNT
Isham Park
Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m.
Cost: Free

Organized by neighborhood parents, this Easter egg hunt will offer nearly 800 eggs hidden throughout Isham Park. Kids should also bring a sweet tooth for homemade cupcakes and juice boxes. Parents are asked to bring their own baskets.
