EASTER FUN FEST AT TRINITY CHURCH
The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at Trinity Wall Street this Sunday during the annual "Easter Fun Fest" in the church's courtyard. The South Churchyard will be full of plastic eggs for children 6 years and under, and the North Churchyard will be transformed into a super scavenger hunt for the older kids. Music will be provided by Bari Koral Family Rock Band, who just released the album, "Anna and The Cupcakes."
EASTER PARADE AND EASTER BONNET FESTIVAL
The craftiest bonnet-makers can't miss this annual showcase, which has congregated in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral since the late 1800s. Men, women children and even their pets come out in their most festive spring garb. Past costumes have included bird-cage head dresses, civil war gear and silk gowns. There's bound to be something for every New York kid, as parade participants choose outfits that range from elegant to eccentric.
EASTER WEEKEND GREENWICH VILLAGE HISTORY AND DESSERT TOUR
Kids and their parents can indulge a sweet tooth with this tour, scheduled just in time for the end of Lenten fast. Sites include St. Luke in the Fields Church, the Washington Square Arch and Minetta Lane Theater. The tour will make dessert stops for local treats such as a delectable Lilac-infused chocolate, chocolate-covered strawberries and Italian saviodi.
THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF MANHATTAN EASTER EVENTS
Celebrate Easter weekend with an arts and crafts eggs-travaganza. The day kicks off with a scavenger hunt, which will end in sweet victory with special prizes for egg-finders. Afterward, preschool kids can make colorful "Pretty Pattern Easter Egg Collage," while older ones can decorate real eggs with Ukranian-inspired patterns and glitter.
