To ensure proper delivery, add Optimum@optimumemail1.com to your e-mail address book.     Mandatory Nationwide Emergency Alert System Test Optimum® is participating in the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. You will experience a short TV service interruption that will last 30 seconds. Your regularly scheduled programming will resume as soon as the test ends. Please be advised that if your DVR was recording when the test was activated, your recording may not automatically resume and you will not be able to recover the missing programming. If programming does not resume or you experience the Emergency Alert System message for more than five minutes, please do the following: Using the remote control, channel up or down. If that does not correct the issue, power down your cable box by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet. Wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in. This mandatory test will be conducted jointly by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
